Types of toilet handles

Toilet levers come in a variety of designs for a variety of toilets. However, they can generally be divided into two groups.

• Front Toilet Flush Handle

This is the most common type of levers. They are located on the top right-hand corner of cisterns, facing outwards. Despite being located at the back of seated users, they are sometimes difficult to reach. However, they are perfect when users are in a standing position.

• Side Action Toilet Flush Handle

Side levers are located on either the right or left side of cisterns. They are easy to access for seated users.

Selecting the right toilet handle

Whenever possible, always use the same type of lever you are currently using. If the existing level has somehow disappeared, measure the cistern hole diameter to find levers of similar types. The size should be between 3/8 and ½ inches. Another larger than that means it’s a customized lever.

Replacing toilet handles is a really easy task, as long as you have the right type of handle. If you can assemble Lego pieces, you shouldn’t have a problem replacing your toilet handle. Simply thread the lever’s spindle through the hole in the cistern, and connect it to the C Link. Some models may require the connection to be screwed in.
